🥹 Girlie Asked, Girlie Answered
Nothing makes us happier than a good “can you ask the girlies?” request from a girlie. Sometimes you’re asking about product recos, others it’s outfit debates, and every hyper-specific question in between.
Our dreams are literally coming true, we’re building a safe little corner of the internet where real women can ask real women the real questions… and get honest answers. Enjoy these recent requests. If you need us, we’ll be screaming “IT’S WORKING!!!” while we watch the poll results roll in.
Girlie Asked, Girlie Answered (can we call this GAGA? You tell us. But not in a poll, we’re too full of them already, so maybe a DM?): in response to my question about saving my sheets from murder scenes (iykyk) a girlie didn’t gatekeep this product that works wonders.
Newest Girlie Ask:

Alexa, play…
What’s your soundtrack situation in the bedroom?
Our Roman Empire: What shoe are we wearing?

a girlie with versatile boot needs
What winter boots are we recommending?
Another girlie sourced question we were going to ask at our now rescheduled Duckworths show is if any girlies in the Charlotte area are ski season enthusiasts? Email us back and let us know, and we’ll ask again next chance we get!
If you ever have a question you want us to ask the girlies, you can email us requesting we source it at a live show, or ask us to poll the chat on socials.
🍿 Pop Culture Bites
📺 The search for Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mom continues. Investigators have received multiple ransom-style messages demanding payment and are scrutinizing their authenticity. No suspects have been publicly identified yet. Our thoughts are with the Guthrie’s family and we join the world in hope that Nancy is returned unharmed.
🏈 We are seated for all the internet drama and meme miming sure to happen tonight at Super Bowl LX (Yes I had to google that) and we are very curious which ads we’ll all be talking about tomorrow.
👀 Speaking of the Super Bowl, Tom Brady and Alix Earle were spotted again together at a party last night.
💔 Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes have reportedly split again, just weeks after trying to give things another shot. Their on-again, off-again era seems officially off for now?
🇨🇦 Not all Olympic drama is for the athletes. Canadian Tate Mcrae is getting dragged for her pro Team USA ad.
🏝️ Love Island UK’s most famous couple, Molly Mae and Tommy Fury, previously on a split, announced they are now… pregnant with their second child.
👛 No Pretty Woman moment here. Adam Sandler publicly shut down a wild viral TikTok rumor about defending his daughter at a Chanel store. He said the whole thing was “100% insane and made-up.”
⛷️ U.S. skier Annika Malacinski is the face of a movement after women were once again excluded from Nordic combined — the only Winter Olympic sport still closed to women ✨screams✨. Athletes came together to protest, raising their poles in an X prior to a race.
💬 What We’re Chatting About:
Skylar: 🏔️ I normally love the Olympics with my whole heart. For a few glorious weeks, it’s nonstop competition, peak human athleticism, and all my favorite story lines that are equal parts heart-warming and/or emotionally devastating. I love watching athletes who have worked their entire lives for this moment finally have their moment.
That said, I’ll be honest. This year I feel a little out of the loop? Every time I try to catch up by Googling “best Olympic storylines,” I immediately fall into a research spiral of “what exactly is skijoring” and emerge knowing everything and nothing. So if you’re following any athletes, events, or storylines you think are must-watch, please tell me. I want to cry, cheer and feel on edge for this country for all the right reasons.
I did watch the doc Miracle The Boys of ‘80 on Netflix about the iconic 1980 U.S. Men’s Hockey team defeat of Russia, and oh baby did I get the feels.
Carol: Reporting live to solve Skylar’s problems (this wasn’t planned).
I cried. I, along with anyone watching, let out an audible gasp this morning as we watched Lindsey Vaughn have a heartbreaking fall, reportedly breaking her leg, shortly after the gate in her Olympic run.
I’m in deep. Watching every deep dive Vaughn story surfacing on the internet.
I cheered. For Breezy Johnson (she officially changed her name from Breanna to Breezy in high school), for winning her first gold in alpine downhill and becoming only the second American to do it since Vonn in 2010.
I’m screaming. For every single woman from every single country dominating at the games. If you saw me crying over this win, yes you did. Women are literally unstoppable.
I learned. That I am Nancy Bates (mom to Evan Bates, mother-in-law to Madison Chock…so every ice partner DOES love each other?!). She is my spirit animal watching the Olympics (put her down, put her down!) and this mom to mom friendship story is 10/10.
I’m protesting. For Women’s Combination Nordic to have an Olympic stage. Go, Annika Malacinski, Go!

meanwhile…across town…Carrie has another problem

The Clemson Women’s basketball team personally paying for a ticket for the mother of their Lithuanian teammate, so she could see her daughter play in college for the first time.
