What will the newsletters include? After every live show, we will send out our “reco + recap” email.  In between shows, the newsletter will have deep dives, follow-ups on burning questions, and us asking what your group chat can’t stop discussing that week. 

Skylar: Margot’s Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe. I loved it. I honestly had no idea what I was getting into before starting other than knowing it was being adapted into a TV series. No spoilers from me, but I can say it presented a fairly nuanced and very human look at something I have strong opinions about: OnlyFans. 

NBA Playoffs 🏀. I am a major sports girlie and this past week and a half has had it all. We had the NFL draft (yes, I want to talk about the Sheduer drama but moments like Barryn Sorrell staying till the end of the draft just to hear his name called in person by the home team are why I love sports). And things are heating up in the NBA Playoffs. The Timberwolves killed the King 👑 (LeBron & the Lakers), The Knicks sailed past the Pistons, and my Golden State Warriors are an underdog in game 7 against the much younger Houston Rockets. It’s giving a sports version of The Substance.

Social stalking. Online sleuths discovered that  Travis Kelce unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on ig amidst the Blake/Baldoni drama. I care a medium amount about this, but I do once again find myself wondering why women aren’t in charge of the FBI?

Carol: The Last of Us: Season 2, Episode 2. I’m not over it. I’ll never be over it. The people who’ve known and are smugly proud? It’s giving the same vibe as when you comment “so glad the secret’s finally out” on your best friend’s pregnancy announcement on Instagram. Enough already. 🙅🏼‍♀️

🙏🏻 The Pope. Think Pope drama isn’t for you? Think again.  The level of fanfare surrounding a Pope’s death is what will also be required for my funeral. Currently, we are in the final stages of preparation before the Conclave. This is shockingly similar to the process my boyfriend endures when I try to pick a restaurant while hungry. We are going on 2 years of black smoke. 

TLDR: the Conclave is the selection process for the new Pope. The College of Cardinals (not a flock of red birds, 133 Catholic dudes under 80 years old) get together to vote on the new Pope. Smoke from the chimney at the Sistine Chapel signals the selection of a new Pope. Black smoke = no selection. White smoke = new Pope.

Lastly, thoughts and prayers to whoever was in charge of marking Beyonce’s spot on stage. May you rest in peace.
